GREAT NEWS! Dunnington ladies win County titles: Following their brilliant performance in the National Fours final (awaiting details) Dot,Sue,Sue and Carol yesterday (28/8/05) won the Yorkshire Triple and Fours titles. A brilliant effort and many congratulations to them from all at Dunnington B.C. and maybe next year they will get the big one! (more news to come - awaiting details and info) |

Dunnington Ladies just miss out! Dot, Sue, Sue and skip Carol played brilliantly at the National Finals at Leamington and reached the FINAL of the Fours competition. In the final they again played well and it was neck and neck going into the last end until the opposition gained a ‘lucky’ result and won the end. I am waiting for pictures from the comp and they will be published when I get them. Bowls International reported on the Nationals and all of their pictures (4) were of the winners! I have contacted the magazine for other pictures and have as yet received no response! This is what Bowls International reported on the final: |
