Season update: Here we go again - another season will soon be upon us and a new decade also. We hope everybody is as well and happy as they can be and to those who are not - may things get better soon,

Club History. I am still trying to gather information about the Club’s history and not really getting anywhere! I know there are many people out there who have pictures, documents, stories etc etc who could help me build a profile of our Club. If you, or anybody you know, has such information then please let me know and I will progress it. Otherwise I will just have to plug away at other sources. Thanks. Mike P.

PRIVATE LEAGUE: The fixtures and initial documents have been sent now so the season’s work has begun, I will try and keep the site updated better than last season but as before work commitments will probably rule. Anyway let’s hope we have a good season for one and all. See the separate section on the site for full details.

Fun Page: I have added a Fun Page to keep us all amused - hopefully. I will be placing various pictures and comments and articles to try and spark some interest and hopefully a few laughs. If you have any comments or suggestions then please contact me - Mike P.

Whist Drives: Another enjoyable season thanks mainly to Brenda Bell and her many helpers - more money raised too - great stuff Brenda - I will endeavor to support you more this year!

Coaching: Our qualified coach Mark Clarke cannot join this season due to work and family commitments so this is under review so watch this space..

The recruitment campaign - Still ongoing and we have attracted some new members who are playing short mat bowls and seem to be enjoying it as much as everyone. Keep going - it only takes 40 years to learn the game!

Club sweaters , badges and ties are available from the Club Secretary. A minimum order of 4 items is necessary before and order can be placed. Ties are £10.00 and Blazer Badges are £6.50p.

About Us.

We are a mixed Club and welcome both men and women to our Club. We play in many leagues for men, women and mixed.

Many touring clubs visit us through the year and we have hosted many National and County competition events so we are a very active Club. We are lucky enough to have a splendid Sports Club (Tennis, Football, Cricket, Hockey, Squash, Gym etc) with an excellent Function Room and Bars for social events - at reasonable prices too! If you like to have a nice meal then this is the place to come as Paul will make sure you are well looked after. To contact the Club please telephone: 01904 481039.
The Green is in very good shape and cared for by a group of devoted members and most visiting bowlers look forward to playing here.

The Bowling Club is very much part of the Community and therefore is very important to all of us and will be treated with great respect and will be managed and maintained accordingly.

Are you interested in joining our Club? If so then send an e-mail (use Contact Us option) and we will get the bowl rolling.

You don’t need to be over 50 and grumpy to join our club and you don’t need to own a blazer , shirt and tie to play - just be a nice friendly person who is keen to get some exercise and join others who are trying to play a skillful game and enjoy it at the same time. If you are young and not grumpy then we encourage Juniors from 10yrs upwards and we have an appointed Child Protection Officer for their safety and enjoyment. We will be holding bowling sessions on Monday and Thursday afternoons for ‘social/fun’ bowling where anybody can join in - especially new bowlers or any who may wish to join or take up the game - see below for more details.

Affiliated to E.B.A., E.W.B.A., Y.C.B.A., Y.W.C.B.A., and Y.A.B.A.

Home to one of North Yorkshire’s finest Bowling Clubs and to its members.
